Building World Class Stadiums

Nov 2011

As the sports sector is beginning to mature, local and regional companies have begun to realise the potential benefits of associating their brands with them. Qatar, under FIFA requirements, needs 12 stadiums with minimum capacities of 40,000, as well as one 80,000-capacity stadium for the final.

This conference is aimed at discussing techniques and strategies to help the stadium development industry meet the future demands while keeping the environment in mind. Using sustainable architecture (environmentally conscious design techniques) and repurposing the structures are just two of the ideas participants will discuss in order to reduce the building's carbon footprint. "Building World Class Stadiums" brings together the owners, operators and developers of sporting venues and introduces them to the very latest industry concepts, technologies, initiatives, materials, designs and services.
