Small vans and chauffeur-driven cars are now licenced. Travel agencies and hotels can lease cars from car rental companies and taxis for the transportation of customers to specified destinations (eg airports). The new regulations will eventually change the car rental category and companies, especially small ones, have to adapt to the new rules. The new measures are expected to improve the image of Greece, as such products have been well established in other countries for many years.

  • Autohellas Hertz SA and Olympic SA remained the leading companies in terms of value sales in 2012, with value shares of 15% and 11% respectively. The two big multinational companies have a strong and long-standing presence in Greece and are backed up by a high standard of logistics and management.
