The rise of electric car fleets is adding further complications and challenges to the plight of in-car entertainment. There is a high and growing proportion of electric cars in the Norwegian car fleet – for example, the Tesla brand alone accounted for 33% of all new car sales in the first three months of 2023.
In addition to the weak economic climate meaning consumers are less inclined to purchase additional items which can be substituted with a multifunctional device, financial uncertainty also means consumers are less inclined to purchase a big-ticket item such as a car.
