The leading brands in soup also enjoy higher consumer awareness in other packaged food categories such as sauces, dressings and condiments, which continues to promote their visibility in soup. The category is, however, in dire need of higher consumer awareness and acceptance, while there is also a lack of a wide variety of flavours that consumers can relate to.
