All tourist attractions developed quite slowly and registered 1% or 2% growth in number of visitors. The fastest growth of 4% in sales was registered by theatres to reach €5.7 million in 2013.

  • Tourist attractions is predicted to slowly grow during the forecast period to reach 9.8 million visitors and €66 million in value sales at constant 2013 prices by 2018. Casinos are expected to continue to lead, followed by museums and national parks/areas of natural beauty. The latter is expected to be among the top destinations and to register the highest increase in visitor numbers, due to the fact that Slovenia positions and represents itself as a green and eco tourism country.
