CHICAGO – Global market research company Euromonitor International explores digital disruption in a keynote session at the 2019 International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago.
Connectivity has ushered in a new era of consumers with higher expectations and new behaviours when it comes to shopping. Technological shifts are rewriting the shopping journey, resulting in new retail strategies and formats to create seamless, omnichannel and immersive experiences.
Erika Sirimanne, head of home and garden at Euromonitor International, will uncover shopping motivations and key characteristics of connected consumers. Retailers and suppliers will be better equipped with insights on how to engage with these consumers as they spend more time online.
According to Euromonitor International, 57 percent of households are expected to have internet access this year, increasing to 71 percent in 2030. With connectivity continuing to grow across the globe, Sirimanne will identify opportunities in the smart home as the next stage of evolution in today’s digital world.
Sirimanne’s keynote, “Digital Disruption: Consumer Trends Influencing Retailers of Tomorrow”, takes place noon CST Sunday, March 3 at the 2019 International Home + Housewares Show at McCormick Place in Chicago. Pre-register to receive Euromonitor International’s presentation and a complimentary report extract following the event.
