Staff in our 14 offices have chosen another 20 charity partners as part of our CSR Charitable Giving programme. These organisations bring the total to 64 of the number of partners supported this financial year as part of our new commitment of 1% of sales to CSR. From buying a minibus for a boxing project in Chicago, through to helping women’s refuges in London, our giving reflects a whole range of staff concerns. Other examples include:

  • In São Paulo, our support of Think Olga will enable them to create resources on how to report and spot the signs of sexual abuse and harassment
  • In Shanghai, two partners were chosen who are supporting deprived communities in rural China. Through the China Social Welfare Foundation we will be supporting a project to equip rural libraries, while our partnership with China Youth Development Foundation will support the educational costs of disadvantaged young people in rural areas.

Two of our offices also chose to support organisations dealing with Human Trafficking. In Sydney we will be working with Project Futures to support their aftercare programme for victims of trafficking from Cambodia to Australia. Our Bangalore office is supporting Justice & Care’s work with aftercare for trafficked people in India. Clare Pearson, CEO of Project Futures, comments; “PROJECT FUTURES is determined to nurture the recovery of sex trafficking victims, helping individuals rebuild their lives and to reduce associated vulnerabilities. The process of recovery is only made possible with the generous support of our partners. We are extremely grateful to have the support of Euromonitor, as the funds donated allow us to implement the resources and therapies needed to restore the voices of victims.”

Our regional partners programme is one of our new Corporate Responsibility initiatives, started this financial year. Alongside this programme we also have new Headline Partners to add to the six we already have, who will be announced in due course.

Our Regional Partners enable us to work towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, part of our commitment as signatories to the United Nations Global Compact.
