As part of our partnership with Islington Business Employment Support Team Euromonitor hosted a small exhibition of photographs and drawings by individuals being mentored by Euromonitor staff members. The exhibition was an opportunity for them to showcase their work and gain experience of public speaking as they discussed their pictures and the inspiration behind them with our employees.
The first exhibit was by Karen, she has a strong interest in drawing on the whole, and specifically in manga-style drawing. While Karen draws a lot of inspiration for her stories from manga series that she reads, with the support of her mentor she is developing her own style and has worked on drawing her own characters.
The second exhibit was by Mark a steam locomotive enthusiast. Mark has a great eye for photography and a real passion for trains, which put him behind the SLR camera to take the beautiful shots he shared on the day.
The event was attended by representatives of the London Borough of Islington, Debbie Watson Mentoring Coordinator commented "it's great to see people going the extra-mile to embrace the mentoring project with such creativity...Not only were the photographs and the pictures good in themselves, but the buzz the exhibition created among the staff was fantastic".
