Presentation Title: Alcoholic Drinks: Global Overview and Prospects

Description: With the memories of the Great Recession gradually fading, the alcoholic drinks industry is showing a gradual recovery globally. Asia Pacific remains strong, despite a few setbacks, and India in particular continues to record robust volume growth. India offers significant growth opportunities, given younger consumers are getting rich and frequent pubs/bars more often. However, the stringent legislation, distribution challenges and state bans on alcohol can derail growth and postpone the evolution of drinking habits. In a mammoth country like India, manufacturers will need to deal with the challenges to tap on the growth opportunities. Many manufacturers will experiment with new flavours and also introduce hybrid alcoholic drinks in the coming years.
