Event: Asia Drink Conference 4th edition
Date: 17 Jun 2016

Description: The Asia Drink Conference is a premium event catered to senior managers of the beverage manufacturing industry. Over the past three years, it has seen an attendance of over 100 participants from Asia for each edition, and the coming 4th edition is expected to be as successful. In addition to a common morning programme, the conference will feature two parallel tracks in the afternoon addressing business strategies and technological advances, including topics on the latest trends for processing, packaging and products, as well as marketing tactics. The conference will therefore provide a unique and valuable platform for knowledge transfer, networking and promotional opportunities for sponsors and delegates alike.
Speaker: Tom Anzur, Global Business Development Director, Singapore
Presentation Title: The Trans-Pacific Partnership Impact to Asia Pacific and Thailand manufacturers
Presentation Time: 17th June, Friday at 2:00 pm
Presentation Description: The Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) represents what could be the largest trade agreement ever signed bringing together 12 countries under the agreement. The TPP would cut over 18,000 tariffs on a variety of goods across a number of different industries. All together roughly 800 million consumers would fall under the agreement. The changes this agreement provokes will of course lead to both threats and opportunities for countless companies, associations and individuals. Euromonitor International will present a summary overview of some of the key industries likely to be impacted in Thailand and South East Asia with an emphasis on the drinks industry in particular. We will explore the current state of the soft drinks market in Thailand and how tariff changes in neighbouring countries could have an impact on the Thai marketplace.
