Presentation Title:  Beauty and Personal Care: Consumer Insights for Global Markets

Presentation Description: The global beauty and personal care sustained another positive year in 2015 despite slowdowns in emerging markets. Colour cosmetics and premium beauty gave a strong boost to global performance, driven by strong demand for high quality, self-expression and individualism. In fact, premium beauty reached historic highs in 2015 fuelled by further growth in the US, while the continued penetration of staple categories maintained opportunities in mass beauty in Asia Pacific. All eyes are now shifting towards Indonesia and India as the next frontier growth markets with both growing in double digits in 2015 and expected to enter the top ten beauty and personal care markets by 2020.

In India, the growth in sales of mass products has slightly slowed down leading to a slowdown in the overall growth of beauty and personal care sales in 2015. However, demand for premium brands continues to remain high as urban consumers with increased disposable incomes are trading up to premium products.
