In August I announced a new global partnership with the international water charity Just a Drop. The charity ifs receiving 1% of all our online sales and over the course of the year we are hoping to donate to over £20,000 to the charity.
Just a Drop was recommended to us by Caroline Bremner Head of Travel and Tourism and it was with great pleasure that she presented the founder Fiona Jeffery OBE, ex Chairman of WTM, with a cheque for £6,290 at WTM this week. This donation is the first of 4 donations we will make over the coming year and is a fantastic start to the partnership. The funds raised will be used to provide an isolated village with access to clean, safe water. In the new year we will be working closely with the Just a Drop team to identify the project we will support.
In the coming weeks Caroline is travelling to Uganda to speak at the Africa Travel Association Congress, whilst there she is taking the time to visit two communities and a school which will be supported by Just a Drop over the coming year. Look out for her guest CSR blog when she returns.
