Lots of fun and exciting initiatives have been taking place across Euromonitor’s global offices to mark the festive season.
Staff have been very generous with both their time and money, taking part in a number of initiatives ranging from fundraising to volunteering. In Vilnius, staff held their annual winter fair fundraiser, raising money for a local animal shelter. Two teams of volunteers also helped out at a local Food Bank. Over in Chicago, volunteers held a holiday craft party with regional partners Casa Central, helping to make gifts and decorations for their youth programmes, and also wrapped 300 Christmas gifts for another regional partner, Kids Off the Block. Additionally they also held a coat drive for Button & Zipper, managing to encourage other businesses in their building to get involved also. In Singapore, staff raised over SGD 3,000 for their chosen charity, Beyond Social Services, with their Back2School themed fundraising events which took place over a month.
In London, teams of volunteers took part in activities supporting our local regional partners as well. One team went to nearby Body & Soul where they put their creative skills to the test and transformed one of their spaces into a winter wonderland for their service users! Another team visited Just Older Youth in South London and helped them with their Christmas party for their members, with an additional two teams supporting the Friendship Network, delivering gifts to their elderly clients. Meanwhile back at the office collections were taken for East London Business Alliance’s (ELBA) toy appeal, a food bank in Islington and, Wrap Up London’s winter coat appeal.
Each year, in lieu of sending Christmas cards, Euromonitor makes a charitable donation in each of its offices. We identified homelessness as a key issue to support as it affects many of the communities that our offices are working in. Approximately £16,000 was donated to a total of 12 homeless charities chosen in each office.
Our support for these organisations enables us to work towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, part of our commitment as signatories to the United Nations Global Compact.
