September saw Euromonitor’s annual Health & Wellness week take place across its twelve offices worldwide. The week aims to promote initiatives to help staff with their personal health and wellness, from keeping fit and eating healthily to mental health and work-life-balance. Each office had their own initiatives taking place over the week and took a holistic approach to health and wellness by focussing on different topic areas.
In Sydney, staff kicked off the week with a lunchtime yoga and meditation session to relax the body and mind. Meanwhile in London, the help of some charity partners was enlisted for some engaging activities including a workshop on stress and mental health by SANE, and a Smoothie Bike event by Sport 4 Life UK. Other activities included healthy lunches in Bangalore, Chicago, and Tokyo, massage and pamper sessions in Cape Town and Singapore, a yoga competition in Shanghai, and laughter therapy/yoga in Dubai and Vilnius!
Some offices also took the opportunity to do some sport-related fundraising during the week. In London, 10 employees took on Rough Runner – a classic TV show themed obstacle course. They raised over £1,000 for brain injury charity Headway.
The week was also a great opportunity to remind staff of some of the great benefits available to Euromonitor employees, including subsidised gym memberships, free fruit, and classes and social activities in the office.
