HTC Corp announced its unaudited consolidated results for Q4 2012 today. For the fourth quarter of 2012, the company’s total revenues reached NT$60 billion and NTS 0.6 billion in net income. While HCT had forecast its NT$60 billion revenue earlier, the net income was a whopping 85% decline compared to the third quarter.
With Samsung Corp’s cornering the Android market, HTC is hedging its bet on Microsoft and launched its flagship models; Windows Phone 8X and 8S in November 2012. With the products having a full quarter for sales distribution, HTC’s financials for the new quarter of the year will provide an indication on the success of Microsoft’s fledging operating system.
