Italy in 2030

In 2030, the median age in Italy will be 49.2 years making it the first oldest country in Europe and the second oldest country in the world, before Japan and after Germany. The working age
population (15-64s) will be in decline falling by 3.6% over the period. The number of foreign citizens will grow by a huge 65.7% (compared to negative growth of -2.8% for Italian citizens) in 2012-2030 to reach 8.1 million or 13.0% of the total population in 2030.
