Proximity-payments-by-industry-in-the-UK

The UK is one of the most advanced countries in terms of proximity payments, with the launch of Apple Pay in mid-2015. Although proximity payments is still relatively new, particularly with regard to wearable technology, UK consumers are well placed to adopt these payment methods with smartphones widely available and contactless payments already commonplace, thus upgrading to mobile-based payments is the logical next step.
