Euromonitor International’s latest pet care research forecasts good prospects for pet food over the next five years, particularly in Asia Pacific as more pet owners adopt commercially prepared food. North America will remain the largest region in value terms, but Latin America is expected to be the second largest contributor in absolute value terms, right behind North America. Pet products has good potential in Latin America and Eastern Europe, as it is a less mature category.
