Euromonitor predicts that single person households will be the fastest growing household profile in 2014-2030 worldwide. They are already the dominant profile in Western Europe and North America. Couples with children prevail in emerging markets but single person households will increase in line with shifting cultural attitudes and rising female employment. This will equate to more demand for smaller household products and services aimed at the solo consumer.
