2015 in Tobacco was a tale of two regions switching roles – Asia Pacific, driven by China reversed 2014’s cigarette volume growth of just under 2 percent to record a decline of just under 3 percent. For the first time in several years, Western Europe saw positive volume growth of just under 1 percent as economies in the region recovered. Meanwhile, regulation promises to become increasingly restrictive as measures such as the EU's TPD and the US FDA's deeming regulation add to challenges faced by the global tobacco industry.
