Developed countries rule across most infrastructure categories including digital infrastructure, energy supply, and electricity output per capita with the exception of liner shipping connectivity for which it falls behind some emerging markets. In addition, investment in the road network has not seen much growth.
Developing regions, particularly Asia Pacific, have shown strong growth across most categories, but this has been primarily driven by China that is skewing the view of the developing regions, some of which are still suffering from inadequate infrastructure.
