Light vehicle sales in Russia fell 10.5% in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, sales were already on a downward trajectory in 2019 after peaking in 2018. Over 2020-2025, light vehicle sales are expected to display a CAGR of 0.9%. Electric vehicles are still a niche market in Russia, with only 0.05% of all sales being electric in 2020. However, plans are being made to develop the industry with investment into electric charging infrastructure with 50,000 stations to be installed by 2030.
