Namibia’s economy will grow modestly in 2019 after several years of feeble gains. Private consumption will be the main driver. An increase in mining output provides additional support as several new mines come on stream. Both construction and manufacturing should stabilise. However, revenues from the SACU will decline and debt is expected to rise. Growth of real GDP should average about 3.6% per year by 2025.
