Driven by the health and wellness trend, consumers in Colombia are paying increasing attention to what they put into their bodies and this been further accelerated by COVID-19. Consumers are becoming better informed about ways to stay healthy and take a preventative approach to their health, rather than simply looking to cure illnesses when they happen.
In 2021, NH tea continued to see strong growth in demand in retail volume and current value terms. This was supported by the increased focus on health and immunity in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
After the recovery in 2021, it is expected that naturally healthy beverages will see healthy value growth over the forecast period. Within hot drinks, NH tea in particular is expected to perform well as consumers are likely to keep the habit of drinking tea, especially teas that are perceived to have health benefits such as green tea and herbal/fruit tea.

These products are usually a healthier alternative within a certain sector/subsector.
