In NH bottled water, more consumers are willing to spend more on NH natural mineral bottled water that includes minerals, mainly magnesium and calcium.
NH fruit/herbal tea is the most popular NH hot drink, with the most retail value sales as most Czechs like fruit and herbal tea. The COVID–19 pandemic had a positive impact on general tea consumption in the Czech Republic during 2020 as family members stayed at home and drank more tea, mainly for breakfast.
Kombucha is perceived by many consumers as being a naturally healthy drink in the Czech Republic. The popularity of this wellness-positioned fermented drink increased among consumers during 2020 and 2021.
Naturally healthy beverages is expected to see continued constant retail value sales growth during the forecast period, albeit slightly lower than during the review period on average. Many Czech consumers will continue prioritising health concerns after the effect of the pandemic wanes, seeking naturally healthy beverages in addition to fortified/functional beverages.
Plant-based NH other hot drinks is expected to see constant retail value sales growth during the forecast period, mainly as a result of the developing health and wellness trend in the country. During the pandemic, many NH other hot drink companies were careful launching new products, as well as having weak marketing support and a lack of innovation.
Private label naturally healthy beverages are expected to gain retail value share during the forecast period due to the country’s economic uncertainty which is expected to continue into 2022 and 2023.
