Higher Excise Tax Impacting Alcoholic Drinks in the Baltic States

In May 2017, alcoholic drinks in Lithuania were subjected to higher excise rates. These rates will force consumers to turn to contraband and counterfeit alcohol, as well as increase cross border trade. The highest amount of alcoholic drinks is forecasted to be brought from Poland.
