Under its Classico brand of pasta sauces, it introduced two new flavours, Tomato & Basil and Light Creamy Alfredo, in 2017, with the latter containing 65% less fat and 55% fewer calories than traditional Alfredo sauces.
Campbell Soup Asia hired celebrity chef Christian Yang to match its pasta sauces with different types of pasta during 2017 and 2018. An array of Western recipes and video shoots were shared on its official website and YouTube, respectively, showcasing simple pasta dishes which can be prepared in 10 minutes, with these largely targeted at busy working people.
In soy sauces, in late 2017, Amoy Food focused on heavily promoting its newly-launched First Extract Reduced Salt Soy Sauce, Reduced Salt Oyster Sauce and First Extract Reduced Salt Soy Sauce with Black Bean, which contain 40% less salt than Amoy Silver Label Light Soy Sauce and are made with non-GMO soya beans and black beans. These aim to cater for the needs of health-conscious consumers.
