Saudi Arabia in 2030: The Future Demographic

December 2018

In 2030, the population of Saudi Arabia will reach 39.5 million, an increase of 19.9% from 2017. Population gains will be driven by particularly high increases in the 50+ age cohorts, however Saudi Arabia will remain amongst the youngest countries in the GCC in 2030. Population growth will slow down up to 2030 as a result of declines in both net migration and natural increase. Nevertheless, foreign citizens will account for nearly four out of ten people in the country in 2030.
