Instant coffee makes up 96 percent of all coffee consumed in Singapore in terms of retail volume sales. However, there has been a small and increasingly popular market for fresh ground coffee pods. New product trends and production methods are reflecting this trend, including freeze-drying instant coffee. Given the strong dominance of instant coffee, more product launches in the country will be dedicated to improving both taste and convenience.
