Passport Api V2

How it works

Two APIs, one set of credentials

Documented, versioned endpoints aligned to your entitlements. Standard HTTP and OAuth 2.0 with JSON, XML or CSV—no proprietary client; model- and stack-agnostic.

Stats API

Market sizes, forecasts, and company and brand shares on demand—historic and forecast, across the countries and categories in your subscription. Per-request lookups for dashboards and bulk extraction for volume.

Insights API

Report content and expert analysis across countries, categories, channels and consumers. Built for retrieval-augmented AI and internal search, so one query covers Passport and your own knowledge base.

How it helps you

Consistent answers every time

1

Map once

The catalogue gives you our identifiers for geographies, categories, industries and companies. Map them to your structure once and hold the mapping in your warehouse. Passport’s single global taxonomy keeps it stable.

2

Write the request and schedule it so it repeats

Per-request or bulk, into BI, planning models or in-house systems. Every figure arrives with its unit, price basis and data year attached.

3

Refresh automatically

When Passport releases new data, everything downstream updates with it – and the Passport benchmark sits next to your own performance data on one consistent base.

In practice

One evidence base for every function

Insight and CI

Category and competitor dashboards that refresh themselves on each data release.

Data and analytics

Passport as an external reference layer in the warehouse, joined to internal sales data for share and headroom analysis.

Finance and strategy

Market forecasts feeding planning models and board packs, on one consistent base, across countries and categories.

Product and AI teams

A cited market-data layer behind internal tools, retrieval systems and in-house agents.

Value

Trusted intelligence in the systems where decisions happen

01

Automation

Scheduled, programmatic retrieval replaces manual exports and rekeying, giving analysts more time to interpret the data.

Passport Connect is an optional addition to a Passport subscription. One Connect licence opens access to both the API and MCP routes, serving the content you already licence.

The Passport intelligence core in your subscription: market sizes, forecasts, company and brand shares, Voice of the Consumer, and pricing and menu data. The Stats API covers the statistics; the Insights API covers report content and analysis.

Yes. Passport data loads into Power BI, Tableau, Looker and similar tools like any other source, usually through your warehouse.

Your integration refreshes on each Passport data release; – annual and quarterly updates on a published schedule, with new editions and forecasts through the year.

Yes. Bulk extraction runs as a background job and returns a file to download, with job history so a scheduled load can be monitored and rerun.

Map our identifiers to your structure once. Passport uses one global taxonomy, so the mapping stays stable.

Endpoints are versioned, so changes are announced and nothing breaks unexpectedly.

Yes. It’s a documented, versioned HTTP API and most data teams are productive within a day. Standard implementation support is included; complex builds are scoped separately.

Your account manager, plus the Euromonitor Digital team for technical issues.

Authentication details are issued within 48 hours of a request being logged. Pre-sales technical support is available while you scope, and the Euromonitor Digital team supports you after go-live.
