Since 1984, incontinence towels have been included in the list of medical products offered by the Spanish health system. Therefore, these products can be purchased in chemists/pharmacies and medical centres under medical prescription, and consumers benefit from reimbursement.

An expanding consumer base

The number of Spaniards suffering from incontinence continued to increase in 2018, pushing up sales in Rx/ reimbursement adult incontinence.
