The performance is influenced by changes in reimbursement policies

The performance of Rx/reimbursement adult incontinence in 2018 continued to be affected by changes in reimbursement policies, which were implemented by the dominant health insurance company in the Czech Republic, VZP, at the end of 2016, and subsequently by other smaller insurance companies during 2017. In an effort to optimise its expenditure on incontinence products and prevent the overpricing of some products, VZP implemented the principle of reference prices within reimbursement adult incontinence categories, and stated the maximum limit for all incontinence products which are subsidised.

Within Rx/reimbursement adult incontinence, the same players as in retail adult incontinence were active in 2018.
