Foodservice through travel posted the highest current value growth in the Czech Republic in 2018; even marginally higher than foodservice through retail. The number of foodservice outlets in travel hubs showed the fastest growth, which was mainly attributable to the rising penetration of foodservice brands in rail, bus and petrol stations.
Consumer foodservice through standalone maintained by far the highest share of value sales and transaction volumes in the Czech Republic in 2018. However, with the growing penetration of foodservice brands in retail and travel locations, standalone saw a stagnating share.
