Nosotras enjoys very high levels of brand equity, based on preferential distribution agreements with the country’s leading retailers and wholesalers, a long-standing presence in Ecuador, and high levels of consumer awareness.
In 2021, the draft Law for the Creation of Opportunities was introduced in the Ecuadorian Congress. This proposes the elimination of the 12% VAT tax on a wide range of hygiene and personal care products, including sanitary protection.
One of the products most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions placed on socialisation and outdoor activities was tampons. This product is frequently used during the practice of sports, and in summer it tends to see a peak in demand related to the beach season.
