Traditionally, manufacturers of sweet spreads have used metal lug closures and plastic screw closures for their products with these typically teamed with glass jars and PET bottles, respectively. Nevertheless, during the review period other closures started to make headway as manufacturers adjusted to the new demands of consumers.
