One major factor supporting this trend is that their products are increasingly seen as ideal sources of nutrition and, in particular, suitable for supporting ideal physical growth in children and young adults.

Rural road infrastructure remains poor, with most rural roads unpaved and subject to frequent flooding, especially during the rainy season that runs from May to October. Despite these challenges, the country’s road infrastructure continued to improve over the review period, although recent sharp increases in traffic has also had a negative impact on rural roads.
