Slimline dishwashers record the strongest growth

While full size dishwashers remained the dominant format in 2018, slimline formats registered the strongest volume sales growth for the second consecutive year. One reason for this is likely the smaller size of households in Poland, with younger generations no longer wishing to stay long periods of time at their parents’ houses, instead preferring to get a small place of their own.

BSH remains the clear category leader

BSH remained the clear leader in dishwashers in 2018, thanks largely to its Bosch brand. The company’s strong position can be attributed to its longstanding presence in the Polish market and the fact that consumers view its products as very high quality.

Smeg the best performing brand

Smeg was the best performing brand in dishwashers in 2018, registering a double-digit increase in volume sales, albeit from a very low base. The brand benefits from attractive and unique designs across various consumer appliance categories, including dishwashers.

Local brand Amica moves up the rankings in 2018

Amica, the largest local producer of consumer appliances, saw its namesake brand move up the rankings in dishwashers in 2018 from seventh to sixth place. The Amica brand is known for offering a good price/quality ratio and a very large product portfolio.
