In recent years skyrocketing increases in unit prices drove retail value sales within the category, in particular in 2014 and 2015 when the local currency suffered devaluation. At that time consumers were more concerned about developments such as the Orange Revolution, the loss of Crimea and the start of ATO in eastern regions than sports.
