Health and wellness trends will continue to drive innovation and sales in other dairy. For example, there will be an ongoing shift from traditional cream to plant-based variants, as seen with Tine Gryr with Matfløyel, a product based on coconut and rapeseed oil, which is leading the charge with its strong distribution through major grocery chains.
Tine is being increasingly challenged by organic producer Rørosmeieriet in plain fromage frais and quark. Rørosmeieriet now has a well-distributed variant of cottage cheese, as well as two types of quark – Skjørost and Proteinrik Skjørost.
