Sports Nutrition in Uganda

October 2026

In 2026, sports nutrition in Uganda maintained growth, achieving UGX350 million in retail value, with performance reflecting the broader move across the Middle East and Africa toward mainstream adoption beyond traditional athletic circles. The environment is highly attractive for investment, with a projected CAGR of 9% through to 2031 and robust gains driven by a growing urban middle class, surging consumer spending, and a population set to expand to 59.7 million by 2031. Success will be determined by the ability to capture a more diverse user base, build trust through certified products and transparent supply chains, and address affordability through localised sourcing and tailored pack sizes.
