It is important to note that the Swiss Nestlé SA (GBO) closed the purchase of the brands of The Bountiful Company, a United States manufacturer of vitamins and nutritional supplements, while The Procter & Gamble Co (GBO) bought VÖOST vitamins, an Australia-based company, and both are expected to enter the Argentine market in the short- to medium-term. Private label vitamins are also expected to see positive growth over the forecast period, after entering vitamins with the launch of Nat & Deli by Farmacity (the number one drugstores/parapharmacies chain in the country).
E-commerce is expected to pose increasingly strong competition to brick-and-mortar retailers over the forecast period. Online sales rocketed during the initial phase of COVID-19 in 2020 and grew more than 100% in retail value sales in 2021 due to additional lockdowns.
