Session title: 1) Anytime, Anywhere? The Evolution of Snackification 2) What Consumers Are Craving For: Global Consumer Trends in the Snacks industry

Session description: 1) Consumption habits and snack preferences are evolving in reaction to near constant societal change ranging from the impacts of COVID and vulnerabilities in supply chains to elevated inflation and the cost of living crisis. Despite the challenges, consumers remain persistent in adopting snacking routines and opting for convenient and indulgent quick meals. The appeal of snacks is anticipated to endure, but the opportunity is evolving. Euromonitor International will highlight critical changes in consumer snacking behaviour and what that means for snacks manufacturers and brands looking to stay relevant in this fast-changing consumer environment.

2) Every year, Euromonitor releases the Global Consumer Trends, a white paper preparing industries for the main consumer behaviours and preferences to look for in the near future. In this presentation, I will zoom into three trends that are specifically relevant to snack consumers: Ask AI, Delightful Distractions, and Wellness Pragmatists. Alongside them, I will also share some relevant results from our Consumer and Industry surveys and some case studies that illustrate how innovation is supporting these trends.
