Learn about our corporate social responsibility team
Global CSR Manager
How did you get into corporate social responsibility?
Prior to this role, I worked for a charitable foundation for six years advising corporate companies and high-net-worth individuals on their philanthropic giving. Working closely with those companies on their community investment programmes gave me the necessary insight and experience of CSR to make the move into a dedicated role.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
What I enjoy most, without a doubt, is the variety of tasks and the opportunity to work with many different people across the business. CSR is becoming more important to both existing and potential employees and I really enjoy working closely with staff members to ensure we’re supporting organisations and causes that matter to them.
We have a growing list of charitable partners: working closely with them to identify how Euromonitor can help develop and deliver their goals is really rewarding.
What is a typical day like for you in corporate social responsibility?
Varied. I manage our CSR programme across 12 offices which means there is always an exciting project on the go. People want to know about a company’s values and responsible business practices so communication is a key part of my role: ensuring people, both internally and externally, are aware of the initiatives we’re involved with.
A day in CSR is also fun. Whether it’s volunteering at a city farm, running a CV and interview workshop for unemployed people, or hosting a bake sale, CSR activities help staff to meet colleagues they might not interact with on a regular basis and have a great time together.
What do you love most about Euromonitor’s CSR programme?
Our responsiveness to our employees. It’s fantastic being able to support so many colleagues to make a difference in their local communities. Hearing the positive way people feel and talk about Euromonitor after they’ve been involved in one of our CSR activities is brilliant. Having a truly employee-led programme makes people feel proud to work for Euromonitor and I love being part of that.
