HDPE bottles have traditionally been the major pack type used in the packaging of laundry care products. However, growing sustainability concerns have been putting pressure on manufacturers to reduce the impact of their production on the environment.
By 2030, the Canadian government plans on mandating plastic packaging in the country to contain at least 50% recycled content as part of its quest to eliminate all plastic waste. As part of this Canada-wide Action Plan on Zero Plastic Waste, the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment supported a requirement for 50% recycled content in plastic goods, where applicable, by 2030.
