The good performance of cooking and pasta sauces has also impacted packaging sales. In general, pack types for these products are very conservative, with the overwhelming majority coming in glass jars.

Glass packaging dynamics vary in core table sauces

Depending on the area of table sauces, the development of glass packaging differs, not only in pace, but also in direction. In ketchup, where most products come in plastic bottles, glass bottles are recording slow but stable growth.

Flexible packaging remains dominant pack type for dry products

While packaging solutions such as composite containers or glass jars are available on the Polish market, dry products such as herbs and spices or dry sauces continue to be dominated by flexible packaging, mainly due to the nature of the product itself and customer preferences. Despite growing incomes among Poles and the increasing popularity of premium products, average customers prefer to spend additional money on a better quality core product, such as meat or fish, rather than on seasoning.
