Vending is expected to continue expanding in the forecast period. The benefits of vending machines such as low initial set up costs, low maintenance costs and unmanned operations has helped to generate wide interest from many companies especially when faced with the problem of labour shortages or restricted opening hours.
Over the forecast period there is expected to be a growing number of vending machines in Malaysia. Crucially, it is likely that there will be a significant increase in the numbers of vending machines located in public areas, which fall within the purview of Euromonitor International research.
The younger generation of consumers are digital savvy and social media advertising has a strong influence on their purchasing behaviour. As such, innovative and vibrant product offerings through vending machines that are promoted through creative social media campaigns are expected to generate interest and sales, especially for machines offering new, interesting and innovative product lines.
