Reduced sugar still RTD tea is expected to register the fastest volume growth over the forecast period as rising health awareness and concerns about obesity levels continue to influence consumers’ choices. The introduction of new flavours of reduced sugar still RTD tea will also support consumption and sales going forward.
The number of RTD tea brands available in Estonia will remain relatively limited, and Coca-Cola HBC Eesti AS’s Fuze Tea will continue to dominate the arena, although Unilever Eesti OÜ’s Lipton and Arizona Europe Cooperatief UA’s Arizona brands are likely to continue their slow upward trajectory. It is, however, unlikely that new brands or flavours will appear in high volumes over the forecast period, especially in light of limited growth prospects.
Green tea and rooibos variants of RTD tea are expected to be increasingly demanded over the forecast period, in line with the healthy living trend, as these teas offer additional health benefits, including a high concentration of antioxidants. Increased innovation in terms of new RTD tea flavours should also drive future category sales.
