The company benefits from a longstanding presence in the market and the most extensive distribution network across a wide range of channels and regions.
The consolidation of sugar confectionery in Uzbekistan was bolstered by the problems of smaller players, which struggled to absorb rising production costs and remain competitive. Indeed, several players registering a value share outside the top 10 in 2016 either fell to a negligible share or disappeared from the market completely in the last two years of the review period.
International companies dominated sugar confectionery in 2018. Imports benefit from strong promotional campaigns and high levels of consumer recognition established over many years in the country.
