Major multinational players Philip Morris Productos y Servicios S de RL de CV, British American Tobacco México SA de CV, and Japan Tobacco International Mexico S de RL de CV continued to lead cigarettes in 2022. Philip Morris Productos y Servicios remained the overall leading player with a dominant retail volume share, supported by the strength of its leading Marlboro brand.
