In 2021 travel still remained restricted largely to within the EU, with this placing a limit on demand for sun care. The main benefits associated with sun care are its ability to provide protection from sunburn and the harmful effects of the sun’s rays. However, more recent formulations now also contain other benefits such as anti-ageing and hypoallergenic, as well as moisturising or protecting from blue light from screens.
Premium sun care is likely to lean on the growing interest in dermocosmetics over the forecast period. In order to persuade consumers to pay more for their sun care they will need to be convinced of the added benefits of using premium sun care.
